The Israeli-Palestinian Peace Process appears to be the same track as it has for the past 50 years – all process and no peace. The latest Palestinian peace proposal comes to us from from Ahmad Bahr.
Sheik Ahmad Bahr, acting Speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council, declared during a Friday sermon at a Sudan mosque that America and Israel will be annihilated and called upon Allah to kill Jews and Americans “to the very last one.”
Palestinian peace delegate Bahr said,
“…Allah willing, ‘you will be victorious,’ while America and Israel will be annihilated. I guarantee you that the power of belief and faith is greater than the power of America and Israel. They are cowards who are eager for life, while we are eager for death for the sake of Allah. That is why America’s nose was rubbed in the mud in Iraq, in Afghanistan, in Somalia, and everywhere.”
If America’s nose rubbed in the mud in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Somalia sound familiar, one might recall the October 2001 interview with Osama bin Laden conducted by Al-Jazeera television. Still flushed with excitement from his 9/11 attack against the Great Satan, Osama recalled to Al-Jazeera,
“We experienced the Americans through our brothers who went into combat against them in Somalia, for example. We found they had no power worthy of mention. There was a huge aura over America — the United States — that terrified people even before they entered combat. Our brothers who were here in Afghanistan tested them, and together with some of the mujahedeen in Somalia, God granted them victory. America exited dragging its tails in failure, defeat, and ruin, caring for nothing.”
“America left faster than anyone expected.”
