Global Warming – This just in

“The Arctic ocean is warming up, icebergs are growing scarcer and in some places the seals are finding the water too hot, according to a report to the Commerce Department yesterday from Consul Ifft, at Bergen, Norway.”

“Reports from fishermen, seal hunters and explorers, he declared, all point to a radical change in climate conditions and hitherto unheard-of temperatures in the Arctic zone. Exploration expeditions report that scarcely any ice has been met with as far north as 81 degrees 29 minutes. Soundings to a depth of 3,100 meters showed the gulf stream still very warm.”

“Great masses of ice have been replaced by moraines of earth and stones, the report continued, while at many points well known glaciers have entirely disappeared. Very few seals and no white fish are found in the eastern Arctic, while vast shoals of herring and smelts, which have never before ventured so far north, are being encountered in the old seal fishing grounds.”

Whoops. My mistake. That’s a page 2 Washington Post / Associated Press article from November 2, 1922. That was 86 years ago – 26 years before Al Gore was born and 71 years before he invented global warming.

Considering the planet stopped its warming trend 10 years ago and in fact, may be trending towards global cooling as weather satellite stations now indicate, it is astounding the number of people who are still devoted to this made-up myth and hoax.

Human activity has never been the cause of these global temperature swings as the “global warming” advocates claim. If human activity was the cause, where were the SUVs, the power plants and industries in our historical past – including 1922? They did not exist. If human activity was not the cause of these global temperature swings, what was?

We seem to have forgotten the teachings of Marcus Aurelius: “The object of life is not to be on the side of the majority, but to escape finding oneself in the ranks of the insane.”
