Scientists have warned that Christmas lights are bad for the planet due to huge electricity waste and urged people to get energy efficient festive bulbs. “Each bulb turned on in the name of Christmas will increase emissions of greenhouse gasses,” said researchers at CSIRO, an Australian scientific and industrial research organization.
The question all we “global warming deniers” have is: What doesn’t cause global warming? We’ve been told that when the weather gets colder, that’s a sign of global warming and when the weather gets warmer, that’s a sign of global warming. An active hurricane season is a sign of global warming but so is an inactive hurricane season. When it rains a lot, it’s triggered by global warming. If it doesn’t rain, that too is triggered by global warming.
Fox News recently commented on this phenomena recently in a report, No Matter What Happens, Someone Will Blame Global Warming.” They looked back at 10 things that global warming allegedly caused – or will no doubt soon be responsible for – as reported in the news around the world in 2008.
- The death of the Loch Ness Monster
- Beer gets more expensive
