Obama OK with nuclear energy for Mid-East…Just not the U.S.

In a BBC interview yesterday, Barack Obama reiterated that Iran has a right to pursue peaceful nuclear  energy options. Obama_and_mahmoud_ahmadinejad_hugging

“Without going into specifics, what I do believe is that Iran has legitimate energy concerns, legitimate aspirations,” Obama said.

Last month in Prague Obama said his administration would “support Iran’s right to peaceful nuclear energy with rigorous inspections.”

In May Obama signed a civilian nuclear deal with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) worth potentially billions of dollars to U.S. energy companies. The plan would make the UAE the first Arab nation with a Nuclear Power industry.

Barack Obama and the Democrats apparently have no problem with selling U.S. nuclear technology to Arab nations or with Mid-East countries pursuing nuclear energy. They just have a problem with building nuclear energy for Americans.

Complements of Barack Obama, the Muslim world gets 21st century nuclear power plants. We get 15th century Dutch windmills.
